UEFA member associations poised for FIFA Global Integrity Programme workshops

  • UEFA edition begins on 25 May

  • FIFA Global Integrity Programme, developed in collaboration with UNODC, is aimed at improving education and building integrity capacity across football

UEFA’s member associations will gather this week as part of the closing series of workshops under the FIFA Global Integrity Programme, which was launched in March 2021 in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

In line with the previous events held with the AFC, CONMEBOL, Concacaf, CAF and the OFC, the workshops will comprise sessions during which integrity and anti-corruption experts from FIFA, the UNODC and UEFA will share knowledge with integrity officers from European member associations. The UEFA edition will start on 25 May and conclude on 30 June.

The workshop modules will focus on key topics, including establishing an integrity initiative, reporting mechanisms, competition protection, media strategy, cooperation between stakeholders, best practice and investigations.

In keeping with FIFA’s overall vision of making football truly global and its ongoing commitment to protecting and promoting the integrity of the game, the FIFA Global Integrity Programme is aimed at improving education and building integrity capacity in all 211 member associations by sharing advanced know-how and resources with integrity officers. It also reflects the UNODC’s objective of supporting governments and sports organisations in their efforts to safeguard sport from corruption and crime.
