Tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis subject to availability, and applicants may purchase tickets online at any time during the entire sales period. Ticket purchases are processed as a real-time transaction. Tickets will be allocated directly to the ticket applicants after payment is received, and they will immediately receive a confirmation email.

We advise football fans to place their application as soon as the sales period opens, as tickets will likely sell out quickly.

Previous sales periods (Sales Phase 1)

Sales Phase (1) started on 19 January 2022 and finished on 29 March 2022. It was composed of two different sales periods with the following characteristics:

The Random Selection Draw sales period of Sales Phase (1) for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ tickets opened on 19 January 2022 at 11:00 CET / 12:00 (midday) Doha time and closed on 8 February 2022 at 11:00 CET / 12:00 (midday) Doha time; after this date, ticket applications could no longer be submitted, changed or withdrawn.

During this Random Selection Draw sales period, ticket applicants were able to submit their ticket applications at any time, without any preference being given in respect of the submission date (i.e. earlier submissions did not have a better chance of success than later submissions). In this sales period, ticket applications were not processed as a real-time purchase.

In cases where demand for a given match and/or ticket category exceeded the available ticket inventory for the domestic or international market, (a) random selection draw(s) took place to determine which applicants were allocated tickets. If such tickets were not oversubscribed, the relevant tickets were allocated to the respective applicants. All ticket allocations are subject to full payment.

Ticket applications could be successful, partially successful or unsuccessful. All successful and partially successful ticket applicants had the chance to pay for their allocated tickets until 21 March 2022 at 11:00 CET/13:00 Doha time.

Fans that failed to pay for any of their allocated tickets had their ticket application cancelled in full, all tickets were unallocated and are not available for the ticket applicant’s use.

The First Come First Served sales period of Sales Phase (1) for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ tickets opened on 21 March at 11:00 CET / 13:00 Doha time and closed on 29 March 2022 at 11:00 CEST / 12:00 (midday) Doha time. Tickets were allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and fans had the opportunity to purchase tickets online at any time during the entire sales period. Ticket purchases were processed as a real-time transaction and therefore allocated directly to the ticket purchasers after payment was received. Confirmation emails were immediately sent following successful payments.

At the request of the Qatari authorities, ticketholders are reminded that all local and international fans must apply for a Hayya Card. International fans will also need to confirm their accommodation plans. For further information visit Qatar2022.qa.
